HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Sophomores Maddie Jarrett and Madison Pierce each recorded personal-best marks on the first day of the Thundering Herd Invitational on Friday in Huntington, West Virginia.
"Today was a good start to the meet," said Toledo head coach Linh Nguyen. "Our throwers were solid, Maddie had a nice PR in the vault and Madison notched another PR on her final jump."
In the pole vault, Jarrett was able to clear 3.65 meters on her third and final attempt at the height. Her successful attempt marks a new personal record for Jarrett and moves her into a tie for 11th-best performance in the Mid-American Conference this season.
