Toledo led 14-0 just 10 snaps into the game, 35-7 at halftime, and 52-32 when the final seconds ticked off the clock in the fourth quarter. It marked the Rockets’ second win in DeKalb since 2006 and their first 2-0 start in the Mid-American Conference since 2017, the most recent time UT won the MAC championship.
“You always want to set the tone every game,” said UT wide receiver Jerjuan Newton, “so when the next team puts on the tape, they say, ‘Those Toledo boys are coming to play.
