CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior center Luke Knapke has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Knapke's honor marks the second time he has earned the weekly accolade this season and the third time in his Rocket career.
Knapke had a week to remember for Toledo last week by averaging 22.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.5 blocks and 1.5 assists per game in double-digit wins over Cleveland State and Marshall. He also posted efficient shooting numbers with a 66.7 FG% (16-of-24), 54.5 three-point FG% (6-of-11) and 87.5 FT% (7-of-8) to extend the Rockets' winning streak to four games.
