KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sophomore Lou Trois won the 1500m on the final day of competition to lead Toledo to a sixth-place finish at the 2022 Mid-American Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Saturday. The Rockets ended the meet with 71 points, just one point behind fifth-place Miami. Akron won the championship with 124 team points.
All three of UT's runners in the 1500m race finished in the top 10, collecting 16 team points and two podium finishes. Trois crossed first with a personal-best time of 4:19.45. It was the and third best time in the 1500m ever for a Rocket, surpassing 2021 MAC Champion Petronela Simiuc (4:21.
