Lockett's big night lifts Toledo women over Duquesne, 77-74

Second-chance points and the clutch play of sophomore guard Quinesha Lockett sparked the Toledo women's basketball team to a 77-74 win over Duquesne at Savage Arena on Friday night.

Lockett poured in a career-high 24 points and the Rockets finished with a 43-29 edge on the boards, including 17 offensive rebounds.

Sophomore Mali Morgan-Elliott and freshman Sammi Mikonowicz each finished with a double-double. Mikonowicz tallied 14 points and added 11 rebounds, while Morgan-Elliot had 10 points and grabbed a game-high and career-high 13 rebounds.

Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said the difference came down to second-chance points, as the Rockets finished with a 17-7 edge on the offensive boards.
