KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Quinesha Lockett had 22 points to spark Toledo to a 75-44 Mid-American Conference victory over the host Broncos on Wednesday night.
The Rockets fell behind 22-19 after the first quarter, but then held Western Michigan to 22 points the remainder of the game.
Lockett hit 8 of 13 shots, had five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. It was her ninth 20-point game of the season.
“I was really proud of the way our defense settled down in the second quarter,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. “Western Michigan was very gritty in the first quarter, but we didn’t lose our focus.
