CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo freshman and sophomore led the Toledo women's swimming & diving team on the first day of Cleveland State's 11 Annual Magnus Cup Invitational on Thursday evening. Both swimmers placed in the top 10 in an individual event, as well as swimming on both of Toledo's top-10 relay teams.
Gentry-Tuney made a statement in the 50 breaststroke, finishing runner-up with a time of 28.52 to beat the former meet record (28.64) set in 2021, while Slegers finished 10th overall in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.76.
Senior swam a 2:02.21 in the 200 IM to finish fourth, for her fastest time this season.
