BUFFALO, N.Y. – Toledo Sophomore Leah Evans broke the school record in the 100 backstroke with a final time of 54.67 on the second day of the Mid-American Conference Championship on Thursday in Buffalo, N.Y.
Evans bested the record during the 400 medley relay. The sophomore was joined by Mackenzie Bushey, Kenzie Myco and Janne Slegers in the event, recording a final time of 3:45.25 to place eighth in the relay.
The Rockets currently stand in eighth place overall, totaling 75 points throughout the first two days of competition.
