TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo's Lauren Kilgore earned her first academic honor of the year by being named the Mid-American Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Kilgore won three events, set the 200 IM pool record, and had two season-best swims in Toledo's victory over Indianapolis last Saturday.
A Niles, Mich. native, Kilgore set the bar high in the first dual meet of the year. She won the 100 freestyle with a 50.44 touch time, which ranks eighth in UT history. She followed that with a first-place finish in the 200 IM, setting the pool record now at 2:02.
