CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo graduate student Laura Nicholson was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, picking up the honor for the second consecutive week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Nicholson earned the distinction after PRing in the 1500m in the Wake Forest Invitational last Friday, April 19. The Cork, Ireland native ran a 4:11.65, the second-fastest time in the event in program history, just 0.82 seconds behind Janelle Noe's 4:10.83 mark set at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
In NCAA ranks, Nicholson's time ranks first in the MAC, 19th among Division I women and 13th in the East Outdoor Qualifying List this season.
