MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Toledo women’s basketball team hung tough against Ball State and was able to snap a two-game losing streak with a 63-62 road victory Saturday.
The Rockets (16-9, 8-6 MAC) were paced by senior center Kaayla McIntyre’s (Notre Dame Academy) 16 points and five rebounds along with Nakiah Black’s 14 points, who also had five rebounds.
But the biggest points for UT came off a putback with just under five seconds by senior guard Mikaela Boyd off a McIntyre miss to seal the game. Boyd finished with eight points.
“This was a hard-fought team win,” UT coach Tricia Cullop said on the Rockets website.
