LEXINGTON, Ky. - Freshman Caroline Lambert and senior Dandadeua da Silva competed in the 10,000-meters and the 400-meter hurdles, respectively, on Day One of the NCAA East Regionals on Thursday.
With the top 12 runners advancing to the NCAA Championships, Lambert placed 24th in a time of 34:57.01.
da Silva ran in the opening heat of the 400m hurdles and recorded a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:00.65 to land in 34th-place overall, 10 spots away from qualifying for Friday's finals.
The Rockets have two student-athletes still to compete for a shot to qualify for the upcoming NCAA Championships.
