Koback and Toledo churn out road win at Kent State

KENT, Ohio — In the midst of the snow and the freezing cold, University of Toledo redshirt freshman running back Bryant Koback had a little fun in the Rockets’ 56-34 win over Kent State on Thursday night.

As the running lanes at times were massive, the Springfield High School alum had the best night of his young Toledo career. Koback rushed 17 times for 192 yards and two touchdowns, good for a whopping 11.3 yards per carry.

But what made it fun for Koback was the success of the run game as a whole and specifically teammate Art Thompkins, who carried 14 times for 122 yards and two scores of his own.
