Life changed for Kendall Braden in eighth grade when the University of Toledo extended an offer to the local basketball prodigy.
No longer was she an anonymous, unassuming teenager. Any time she stepped on a basketball court, Braden was the girl who got offered as an eighth grader.
Not that she would change anything. But after four years, dozens of unofficial visits, and three official visits, she was ready to find her college basketball haven. Little did Braden know it would be 12 miles from her family’s house in Northwood.
“Toledo had everything that I wanted,” said Braden, who committed to coach Tricia Cullop and the Rockets last week, “and it’s home.
