TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's basketball team cruised past Wright State in its home opener on Saturday, winning 73-56 in front of 4,193 fans at Savage Arena.
The Rockets (2-0) cracked 70 points and held their opponent to a field goal percentage below 40 percent for a second straight game. The Raiders (0-2) shot just 30.9 percent from the field.
"I think this team can hang its hat on its defensive play," head coach said. "I do think we need to do a little better job of taking care of the ball, and we can be a bit more selective with our shots.
