TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo junior infielder Jeron Williams was named Mid-American Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Monday.
Williams was outstanding last week in games at Ohio State and vs. Akron. He hit .619 (13-for-21) across four games and stole four bases while slugging .952. Williams had at least three hits in all four games last week and extended his hitting streak to 30 games, the longest hitting streak by a Rocket since Chris Dudics' record-breaking 39-game streak.
Williams went 3-for-6 with two doubles at Ohio State to open the week and only got better as the week wore on.
