Isaiah Adams goes from the bench to hero, rescuing Toledo men's basketball in the process

On Monday, Isaiah Adams found out he wouldn’t be starting for the first time since he was a sophomore at Central Florida, three years and two schools ago.

The fifth-year senior didn’t sulk. Adams came to the University of Toledo this season to make a difference in the Rockets’ NCAA tournament quest. With UT mired in a two-game losing streak, he chose to channel his emotions into positivity.

“I didn’t want to let what happened to me bring the team down or not bring the energy for the team,” Adams said. “I can’t be one of the older guys on the team and be one that they see pouting or doing stuff like that.
