Kooper Jacobi, an under-recruited and under-starred forward from Sellersburg, Ind., just across the Ohio River from Louisville, is arriving at the University of Toledo in June with plans to make his name a familiar expression.
The 6-foot-7, 195-pound Jacobi is equipped with a blend of finesse, intensity, and exactness that produces a gripping prospect.
“Making an immediate impact is the goal,” Jacobi said.
Last Saturday, he helped lead Silver Creek to its second state championship in three years. Without the pandemic, it probably would have been a three-peat. In the seven-game tournament run, Jacobi averaged 16.
