Preparing for another season and ushering in some new faces on his staff, Toledo football coach Jason Candle was looking forward to spring practices as a way to speed along the transition to the 2020 season.
However, three practices into the 15 planned for the spring, Toledo was forced to stop in its tracks along with the rest of college football as the coronavirus pandemic led to cancellation of all spring sports and practices at Toledo, as well as remote learning from off-campus for the rest of the semester.
“We brought some new coaches into the fold this season, and we were really looking forward to spring football after coming off of a really good February,” Candle said.
