Thirty-two northwest Ohioans are sprinkled throughout the Toledo and Bowling Green football rosters.
Their showcase is Saturday in the Battle of I-75, a century-old rivalry that evokes emotions from Wauseon to Wood County, Toledo to Tontogany.
Chances are one of those players will factor prominently into the outcome. Safety Braden Awls isn’t a bad bet.
“I’m getting put in good places by my coaches and players,” said Awls, who leads the Mid-American Conference with three interceptions.
