MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Brenae Harris made a layup with 9.2 seconds remaining in overtime to give the University of Toledo women's basketball team an 81-79 victory at Central Michigan.
The Rockets (15-10, 10-4 Mid-American Conference) snapped the Chippewas' eight-game winning streak and moved to within one game of first place in the MAC West Division.
Harris, a senior guard, finished with 23 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott had 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Janice Monakana scored 15 points before fouling out against Central Michigan (17-8, 11-3).
UT led by 11 at one point in the second quarter, but the second half rarely strayed from a one-possession game.
