Goss lifts Rockets to women's basketball victory over Oakland

ROCHESTER, Mich. — Khera Goss had 21 points, and Emmi Rinat scored 15 off the bench to lead Toledo to a 78-65 women’s basketball victory over Oakland at the OU Credit Union O’rena on Sunday night.

It was Toledo’s fifth straight victory.

The Rockets used a 20-10 scoring advantage in the third quarter to put distance between them and the Golden Grizzlies.

Sammi Mikonowicz, a Rossford graduate, led Toledo with seven rebounds, while Sophia Wiard led the team with seven assists.

Quinesha Lockett, who entered the game leading the Rockets in scoring at 15.3 points per game, left after the first five minutes with an undisclosed injury.
