Toledo, Ohio— The bats came alive in game two of the Blue-Gold World Series, and the Gold came away with a 9-6 win on a cool and damp Thursday afternoon at Scott Park.
Alec Bukowski earned the win for Gold, throwing 2.1 innings and allowing just one run while striking out two. Offensively, Zach Schwartzenberger and Dalton Bollinger led the way with two hits and three RBI apiece. Casey Gose had a great day at the plate as well, reaching base and scoring in all three of his plate appearances. The senior had two stolen bases too, including a steal of home.
