If you visited the Glass Bowl during the summer of 2021, you may have noticed a video crew taking detailed clips of the stadium and surrounding area.
It wasn’t for an in-house advertisement or UT football hype video.
Instead, three years before the anticipated relaunch of the Electronic Arts college football video game, Toledo provided EA Sports with more than 2,000 images, including the famous rocket outside the visiting locker room — pointing 25 miles south, of course — and the Battle of I-75 trophy.
“It’s been amazing seeing the return of the college football game from EA Sports and the groundswell of interest around the country,” Toledo athletic director Bryan Blair said.
