KENT, Ohio — A house of horrors for the University of Toledo’s men’s basketball team became a funhouse on Tuesday.
Dating to 1996-97, the Rockets were 4-14 at Kent State’s Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. But for 40 minutes, they erupted for one of the most comprehensive and satisfying wins in recent program history, which includes back-to-back-to-back Mid-American Conference championships.
Toledo 89, Kent State 75.
The Rockets’ entire starting five reached double-figures scoring.
Tyler Cochran — who has been on a six-week tear — had another memorable performance, with 21 points, six rebounds, two steals, and one block.
