OXFORD, Ohio — On Saturday, Tod Kowalczyk referred to Tuesday’s game at Miami as a catch-up game.
He was right. The Rockets spent all night trying to catch up to the RedHawks during a 92-80 wire-to-wire beatdown.
For the second consecutive game, Toledo trailed 32-16. But there was no comeback at Millett Hall, as the Rockets ran into a 3-point shooting buzzsaw. Miami shot 15 of 30 from beyond the arc.
UT never got closer than 11 in the second half after trailing 45-30 at halftime.
Miami entered Tuesday with the nation’s fifth-best effective field goal percentage and ninth-best 3-point percentage while forcing nearly 15 turnovers per game.
