When you have more rebounds than your opponent has points, you might never lose.
The Toledo women’s basketball team didn’t test that theory on Saturday, finishing with an astounding 52 rebounds in a 63-50 victory over Ohio.
The Rockets nearly had as many offensive rebounds (23) as Ohio had total rebounds (29). They had six offensive rebounds on one possession and finished with 52 overall. They had 22 second-chance points.
Nan Garcia (11), Khera Goss (nine), and Hannah Noveroske (nine) had a combined 29 rebounds.
