TUCSON — Miami ended Toledo’s chances of a truly historic season. But that doesn’t mean the Arizona Bowl is meaningless.
A win over Wyoming would be a program-record-tying 12th victory in a single season. That is enough motivation for the Rockets.
“We want to send these seniors out with a win in their last game,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said. “This is the heart and soul and the fabric of our program for the last five years, some six, some seven. Great young men who have reached their potential in the classroom, have done nothing but represent the program in a first-class manner, and have been great ambassadors for the University of Toledo.
