For the first time since 2018, the University of Toledo will play a WNIT game on the road.
The Rockets have played 26 WNIT games in program history, with 24 of them taking place in Savage Arena. The other two were at Michigan and Michigan State.
There’s disappointment about leaving the friendly confines on N. Douglas Road, but you will hear no complaints from Toledo. Players and coaches are grateful for the opportunity to extend the season, and the Rockets are on a mission to hang another WNIT championship banner.
Standing in the way is Marquette, a talented team that ranks 69th in the NET, four spots behind the Rockets, who are 1-4 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
