Former Toledo QB Dequan Finn finds comfortable new home at Miami (Ohio)

A familiar name entered the transfer portal in December: Dequan Finn.

He’s one of the most decorated players in University of Toledo history. And after the Rockets had a disappointing sixth-place finish in the Mid-American Conference, there was legitimate curiosity from the fan base about a potential reunion.

It didn’t extend inside the walls of the Larimer Athletic Complex.

“If Toledo was interested in me, yeah, that possibly could have been the case,” Finn told The Blade. “But they moved on, and I moved on. That’s the most I can say about that.”

The 6-foot-2, 206-pound Detroit native landed at Miami (Ohio) after an unsatisfying year at Baylor, where Finn began the season as the starting quarterback and had a dream debut, with a 39-yard touchdown run on the first drive and a 32-yard TD pass later in the first quarter.
