Former Toledo, Alabama coach Saban named to College Football Hall of Fame class

ARLINGTON, Texas — Nick Saban, who spent one season as the head football coach at the University of Toledo before going on to stints at Michigan State, Louisiana State, and Alabama, was named a member of the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame induction class during pregame coverage of Friday’s Cotton Bowl.

Saban, who led LSU to the 2003 national championship, went on to win six titles with Alabama from 2007-23. He finished with a 292-71-1 record and was the NCAA’s active leader in wins at the time of his retirement.
