Toledo has signed its first-ever five-star.
Former West Virginia linebacker Lance Dixon — the nation’s No. 13 overall recruit in the class of 2019 — is a Toledo Rocket, becoming the program’s first-ever five-star recruit.
The Oak Park, Mich., native originally signed with Penn State before transferring to West Virginia in 2021. Dixon played 10 games over two seasons for the Nittany Lions, starting once. He had 12 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.
In three seasons at West Virginia, the 6-foot-2, 223-pound Dixon made 72 tackles — one for loss — and three pass breakups.
