A University of Toledo employee the school fired in October for mismanaging athletic department funds was reprimanded for allegedly sexually harassing a student in 2013 — but then was promoted by UT later that year.
UT terminated Anthony Zaworski, the former associate director of athletics for finance, on Oct. 10, 2016, after an internal audit found numerous issues with Mr. Zaworski's accounting practices, including thousands of dollars in missing money.
Before the financial issues arose, however, UT warned Mr. Zaworski under its standards of conduct policy for pursuing a relationship with a former UT student-athlete who became a graduate assistant.
