Toledo backup quarterback Dequan Finn made a lasting impression in the Rockets’ season opener.
Coach Jason Candle named Finn as the game MVP on the offensive side for his Week 1 performance in last Saturday’s win over Norfolk State. Finn swapped in and out of the QB role with starter Carter Bradley and completed four of five passes for 38 yards. He led the Rockets in rushing yards (82) on nine carries, including his first collegiate touchdown on a 24-yard run.
