KENT, Ohio — The University of Toledo women’s basketball succumbed to a strong shooting effort by Mid-American Conference foe Kent State in an 87-68 loss at the M.A.C. Center Saturday.
Kent State (14-9, 7-5 MAC) made 49.3 percent of shots for the game, but the hot shooting picked up in the second half. The Golden Flashes made 53.1 percent of their shots after halftime. Kent State held a 24-11 advantage after one quarter.
Toledo (11-12, 6-6) shot 39.7 percent in the game.
Mariella Santucci was Toledo’s leading scorer with 13 points on 4 of 7 shooting.
