MUNCIE, Ind. – Freshman Emily Young shot a season-best two-over par 74 to lead the Toledo women's golf team in Sunday's opening round of the Mid-American Conference Championships at the par-72, 6,053-yard Delaware Country Club. Toledo is in ninth place in the team standings and just seven shots out of third place with a 20-over par 308.
Kent State leads the 10-team field at one-over par 289, seven shots in front of second-place Bowling Green. Ball State's Jasmine Driscoll is leading all individuals with a five-under par 67.
Young made the turn at even-par after registering a birdie and bogey on the front nine.
