TOLEDO, OH - The Toledo women's soccer program was well represented in the 2016 Rio Olympics, as junior Isa Echeverri and former Rocket Natalia Gaitan were part of the Colombian Women's National Team.
Colombia punched its ticket to Brazil by finishing second behind host Brazil at the 2014 Copa America in Ecuador. The 2016 Rio Olympics is just the second Olympic appearance for the Colombian team.
Colombia was blanked in its first match by France, 4-0, after falling behind early on an own goal just two minutes into the match. The team was also shutout against New Zealand, 1-0, conceding the lone marker during the 31st minute.
