MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Toledo men’s basketball team outscored Ball State by 14 points in the second half to secure a 93-75 Mid-American Conference victory Saturday at Worthen Arena.
The Rockets shot 53.7 percent from the field (36 of 67) and hit 15 of 17 free throws, including all eight of their free throws in the second half, in defeating the Cardinals.
Rebounding was a strong point for Toledo on Saturday, with the Rockets claiming a 37-26 advantage on the boards (22-6 in the second half). Fifteen of Toledo’s rebounds were on the offensive end, while Ball State managed just eight offensive rebounds.
