Despite loss to Central Michigan, Toledo men earn outright MAC title

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. — The good news for Toledo is that it secured an outright Mid-American Conference championship.

The bad news for the Rockets is that they squandered a double-digit second-half lead and suffered an 81-79 loss at Central Michigan Tuesday.

The Chippewas scored on an offensive rebounds putback with 3.0 seconds left to take their first lead since it was 16-15. After back-to-back-to-back timeouts, Toledo threw a full-court pass to Ryan Rollins who attempted to get Spencer LIttlson the ball but was intercepted by a Central Michigan player and time ran out.
