The phones started ringing and the email alerts started buzzing at 9 a.m. on June 15.
The University of Toledo notified season-ticket holders and donors that tickets for the Sept. 11 game at Notre Dame could be requested, beginning that Tuesday morning. And they weren’t about to take any chances.
More than 1,500 requests were made on June 15.
“We did a pre-inquiry just to get an idea of where things might be and how many people were interested,” UT deputy director of athletics David Nottke said. “We said, ‘Tell us what you would like for Notre Dame.
