Few teams feel as good as Toledo women’s basketball this summer.
And that includes the likes of South Carolina, Connecticut, and Stanford, women’s college basketball’s upper crust.
The Rockets didn’t win the national championship, or even make the NCAA tournament, but they return every contributor from the 19-1 Mid-American Conference champions. And they went out and added two high-impact transfers: Lonasia Brewer from Akron and Justina King from Long Beach State.
“This is the deepest team we’ve had,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. “We return more production than any other year I’ve coached at Toledo. In addition, we have added depth to make us even better.
