College football world feeling ripple effects of MAC's cancellation

The ripple effects of the Mid-American Conference’s cancellation of its 2020 fall season, including college football, are widespread throughout the college football world. Opponents for the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and the rest of the conference are without a nonconference game, and in some cases, Football Championship Series schools are left out of a buy game.

Toledo was scheduled to play Sept. 5 at Tulsa and versus San Diego State Sept. 12, and Bowling Green was scheduled to face Liberty University. All three games have at least been postponed, and a prior BGSU contest scheduled against the FCS’ Robert Morris was already canceled.
