After receiving offers from nine other schools, including Miami (Fla.) and Louisiana State, class of 2026 three-star cornerback Shmar Akande announced his commitment to the University of Toledo football team Wednesday.
Akande (6-foot-2, 180 pounds) also had offers from Syracuse, Indiana, and Maryland. He announced his commitment on X/formerly Twitter.
