TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Toledo freshman Joy Chirchir came in 143rd place at the 2021 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championships at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. on Saturday.
Chirchir crossed the finish line of the 6K race with a time of 20:46.6.
"Joy had a tremendous freshman year and will benefit enormously from this experience," head coach Andrea Grove-McDonough said. "It's a pretty overwhelming race and just to get here and get this experience is a win as far as I'm concerned. Anytime you toe the line at a national championship it's special.
