MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — A big third-quarter run lifted the Central Michigan women’s basketball team to a 78-45 victory Saturday against the University of Toledo in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The host Chippewas (24-6, 15-3 Mid-American Conference) went on a 24-5 run in the third quarter, blowing open what was a six-point game at the half. Central Michigan finished with the conference’s top record.
Reyna Frost (32 points, 11 rebounds), Presley Hudson (28 points, 10 rebounds), and Micaela Kelly (14 points, six assists) combined for all but four of Central Michigan’s points.
Kaayla McIntyre was the Rockets’ top scorer with eight points.
