Toledo added the 11th member of its 2026 football recruiting class.
Sharard Vaughn III, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety from Central Catholic, announced his decision on Wednesday, posting on X, “100% Committed,” with a rocket emoji.
He picked the Rockets over offers from Miami (Ohio), Marshall, Massachusetts, Akron, Kent State, and Fordham.
Vaughn is listed as an athlete by 247Sports, but he listed himself as a safety in his commitment post. He played a key role in Central’s run to the Division III state championship game last season, with a 65-yard touchdown reception in the regional semifinal and 120 total yards in the regional final.
