CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Toledo women's tennis players freshman Cassie Alcala and sophomore Sloane Teske have been named to the All-MAC squad, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Alcala, who was also named the league's Freshman of the Year, was a First-Team All-MAC selection. Teske was named Second-Team All-MAC. Alcala is the first Toledo player to win MAC Freshman of the Year since Martina Wodzinski in 2007.
"It's a great honor for Cassie and Sloane to be recognized for their impressive accomplishments this season," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "Cassie was a force in the MAC and what she was able to do day-in and day-out at our top singles spot was unmatched.
