COLUMBUS — Garret Gleckler termed what took place Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium as “Josh-esque.”
The Bryan High School track coach was referring to the Division II state track meet and, more specifically, senior runner Josh Taylor and the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter races.
Taylor finished third in the 1,600 (4:14.69) and second in the 3,200 (9:16.49), two of the top 25 times in the state all season, becoming a four-time All-Ohioan in the process.
“He’s a guy who gave his very best effort each and every meet, whether it was a tri-meet, an invite, or at the tournament level,” Gleckler said.
