Like most leagues, the Mid-American Conference gets a lot wrong with its football schedule.
Just look at Toledo’s slate last year.
A home finale directly opposite the Ohio State-Michigan game? The Battle of I-75 on a bone-chilled November weeknight? A 10th straight season without playing the MAC’s traditional flagship program?
None of it made any damn sense and, if I hadn’t been to the league office a few years ago to see how the schedule was put together, I also would have thought the games were arranged around a table of overserved chimps in funny suits at ESPN headquarters.
