When the NCAA tournament bracket was unveiled Sunday night, basketball fans had the most extraordinary reaction.

They mostly approved.

Because the world did not end. The internet did not break. And — are you sitting down? — no one filled Toledo athletic director Mike O’Brien’s inbox with language that would make Tarantino blush.

In fact, O’Brien, a member of the men’s tournament selection committee, has not received a single critical missive since the 68-team field was announced.
